College Credit Plus

To provide Ohio high school students with the opportunity to pursue higher education and reduce the cost of doing so, the Ohio Department of Education, Ohio Board of Regents and the Ohio Legislature in conjunction with state universities and community colleges have worked together to create College Credit Plus. This program combines the previous Post Secondary Enrollment Option and Dual Enrollment programs and will include Career-Technical education.

Eligible students can take courses and earn high school and college credits that appear on both their high school and college transcripts.

Teachers who teach a College Credit Plus course in a high school must receive professional development and be an adjunct professor at a college or university.

All courses offered through College Credit Plus - even courses offered in the high school - must be the same course that the college offers. The course must apply to a degree or professional certificate.

College Credit Plus replaces Post Secondary Enrollment Option (PSEO) and redefines 'alternative dual enrollment' programs as advanced standing programs.
